The Research Advisory & Ethics Committee (RAEC) plays a crucial role in ensuring the ethical standards and scientific merit of all research activities conducted within the institution. It is established to provide a comprehensive ethical scrutiny process and to address relevant ethical considerations pertaining to research scholars. The RAEC is committed to promoting an ethical research culture in the institute by implementing specific and goal-oriented research initiatives that facilitate quality research undertaken by faculty members, either independently or in collaboration with industry and students. To uphold academic integrity and originality, Turnitin software is utilized to perform plagiarism checks on all research documents submitted by faculty and students.

Functions:
- Formulation of Research Policies: To develop and recommend institutional research policies, strategies, and frameworks that promote quality and innovation in research activities.
- Research Planning and Coordination: To identify thrust areas of research and facilitate interdepartmental and interdisciplinary collaborations among faculty, students, and industry partners.
- Monitoring Research Progress: To periodically review and monitor the progress of ongoing research projects and provide guidance for improvement and timely completion.
- Facilitation of Funding and Resources: To assist faculty and researchers in identifying funding opportunities, preparing project proposals, and managing research grants effectively.
- Promotion of Publications and Patents: To encourage and support faculty and students in publishing their research in reputed journals and filing patents for innovative work.
- Ethical Evaluation of Research Proposals: To review research proposals to ensure compliance with ethical standards related to data integrity, human and animal participation, and academic honesty.
- Promotion of Ethical Research Practices: To create awareness and ensure adherence to ethical principles in all research activities through regular training sessions, workshops, and the use of plagiarism detection tools like Turnitin.
