The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI&ML) offers B.Tech students an opportunity to pursue Honors in Artificial Intelligence and a Minor in Quantum Computing. These specialized programs aim to enhance students' technical expertise, expand their employability, and prepare them for advanced studies in the highly sought-after, emerging domains of AI and Quantum Technologies.
Both programs are designed in alignment with AICTE guidelines to ensure a holistic learning experience that bridges the gap between academia, research, and industry demands.
☞ B.Tech with Honors in Artificial Intelligence (AI)
This specialization is designed to deepen the students' core knowledge within their discipline, making them experts in the most critical and current aspects of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
Program Objectives:
- To expand the domain knowledge of the students laterally and vertically, achieving mastery in advanced AI concepts such as Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and specialized AI applications.
- To increase the employability of undergraduate students by making them highly competitive specialists in core AI engineering disciplines.
- To provide an opportunity to students to pursue their higher studies (M.Tech/Ph.D.) in a wider range of AI specializations and advanced research areas.

This interdisciplinary Minor provides students with fundamental and advanced knowledge in the revolutionary field of Quantum Computing, a technology poised to transform computation, cryptography, and materials science.
Program Objectives:
- To expand the domain knowledge of the students into the cutting-edge, interdisciplinary field of Quantum Engineering.
- To offer knowledge in the areas identified as emerging technologies or thrust areas of Engineering, specifically Quantum Technologies.
- To increase the employability of undergraduate students by equipping them with skills in interdisciplinary areas like Quantum Machine Learning and Quantum Cryptography, leading to better career opportunities.
- To provide an opportunity to students to pursue their higher studies in interdisciplinary areas in addition to their own branch of study.
