Verbal & Soft Skills
Verbal & Soft Skills – From Communication to Career Readiness
PACE drives a dedicated Verbal & Soft Skills initiative that goes beyond conventional language training and focuses on developing students’ communication, interpersonal and professional competencies required for academic success, placements and the workplace.
Industry-Relevant Communication Skills
Students are trained in essential competencies including Verbal Ability, Professional English, Public Speaking, Group Discussions, Presentation Skills, Interview Skills, Active Listening, Vocabulary, Grammar, Critical Thinking, Workplace Etiquette, Teamwork and Leadership.
Progressive Skill Development
The training follows a structured progression from foundational communication to advanced professional competencies:
Foundation → Practice → Application → Performance → Professional Readiness
Students progressively develop language accuracy, fluency, confidence, articulation, interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in diverse professional situations.
Experiential & Activity-Based Learning
PACE incorporates interactive and experiential methodologies including JAM sessions, group discussions, role plays, presentations, mock interviews, public speaking, debates, communication games, case-based activities, peer evaluation and real-world workplace scenarios.
These activities provide students with continuous opportunities to speak, listen, think, respond and collaborate in authentic communication situations.
Industry-Aligned Assessment & Preparation
Students are exposed to placement-oriented assessments and communication platforms such as Pearson MePro, Versant, verbal ability assessments, Group Discussions and HR interview simulations.
Regular assessments, feedback and performance reviews help students identify gaps and build targeted communication strategies for recruitment processes.
Corporate Communication & Employability
The initiative prepares students for real-world professional environments through training in professional introductions, email etiquette, workplace communication, presentation skills, interview communication, team interaction, conflict management, negotiation, leadership and professional behaviour.
Students learn not only what to communicate, but also how, when and with whom to communicate effectively.
Building Industry-Ready Professionals
Through Verbal & Soft Skills training, students develop communication competence, confidence, critical thinking, interpersonal effectiveness, teamwork, leadership and professional presence.
The initiative transforms students from knowledge holders into effective communicators and workplace-ready professionals, strengthening their readiness for placements, internships, group discussions, interviews, corporate environments and long-term career growth.
